Industry Experience

Director – Imperial College (Sri Lanka), Dean – Indian School of Commerce (India) and Technical Director – Shadwell’s Education (India) Pravinth’s professional career began at Imperial College in 2003, where he was greatly involved with the CIMA Operation. In 2006, he was appointed Director, Academic Affairs. He is also the Head of the CIMA program, and he has played a pivotal role in making Imperial College the success it is today.

Lecturing Experience

An Associate Member of CIMA and an Associate Member of ACCA, Pravinth has been a CIMA tutor for over ten years and is the most sought-after Finance lecturer for CIMA in Sri Lanka. Specializing in Financial Management subjects, he has produced numerous Sri Lankan and World Prize winners for nearly all financial management pillar subjects including Financial Strategy. His own achievements include winning the World Prize for Management Accounting Fundamentals and the Sri Lankan prize for Business Strategy; and being placed 2nd in the world for Economics for Business at CIMA Foundation Level, being a finalist in the CIMA Tutor of the year contest conducted by CIMA UK in 2006, and being voted the ”Best Lecturer” for Financial Analysis (P8) by Sri Lankan students in a survey conducted by CIMA Sri Lanka division in 2005.

Due to his popularity amongst students, the CIMA Sri Lanka division selected him to conduct revision and to conduct ”Train The Trainer” (TTT) programs in Hong Kong, India, and Pakistan. Pravinth is a visiting lecturer at Christ University Bangalore, India, where he conducts lectures for CIMA students at the Certificate and Managerial Level.

Over the past 12 years Pravinth has been at the forefront in lecturing at Imperial College and is regarded by many students as one of the best and most knowledgeable lecturers for CIMA tutoring in Sri Lanka. He lectures all CIMA levels and is dedicated to achieving the highest pass rates, focused on achieving success for all his students. His passion for lecturing and his unique technique inspire his students, and he has the ability of turning even the most tedious of topics interesting and simple.
