ICBS offers MBA International Business from The University Of The West Of Scotland
Imperial College of Business Studies (ICBS), together with University of the West of Scotland (UWS), now offers the MBA (International Business) postgraduate programme to the students in Sri Lanka.
The University of the West of Scotland is one of the Scotland’s largest modern international universities with over 1400 international students drawn from more than 70 countries across the globe, working with over 100 international partners.
Structured to meet needs of middle and senior managers and entrepreneurs in the running of a business and to facilitate their progression to a higher level within their organization, the MBA (International Business) postgraduate programme, is an internationally respected degree that has been redesigned to reflect the evolving nature of business and the global challenges facing business leaders. It focuses on developing strategic analytical skills, business intuition, enquiring and adaptive thinking.
Known to produce high calibre graduates who can effectively respond to unpredictable challenges in globally competitive business environments, this programme is structured and designed to provide essential core business knowledge and understanding with a strong emphasis on developing the applied managerial skills such as communication, negotiation and facilitating skills that are nurtured and enhanced, using a variety of methods such as role play exercises, case studies. The modules are assessed through a variety of techniques including online tests, reports, presentations and projects.
Unique to the UWS MBA is the depth of emphasis on a strong, practical and professional orientation to the curriculum and learning styles and real life examples that are discussed and debated in class.
At ICBS, the lecture sessions will be conducted by an eminent panel of academic and professionals including senior professors, doctorates, university lecturers and industry experts to give both theoretical and practical aspects of the subjects taught. All of these individuals has been evaluated and approved by the university to ensure that academic standards are kept on par with the UWS requirements. A visiting faculty from UWS is also incorporated every semester, to give the MBA candidates a taste of international exposure.
Furthermore, the “Genius” Learning management system will also have been made available with a wide range of online facilities such as online assignment submission, e-library facility from CMI (UK) and virtual class attendance (VCA).
Lectures will be offered only on Sundays for the convenience of the students with an option to block classes offered as added flexibility.
